Anjali Sud is the CEO of  Vimeo, an online video platform, and an American businesswoman of Indian heritage. Sud was born on August 13, 1983, in Detroit, Michigan, to Punjabi Indian immigrants. She was raised in Flint, Michigan. Anjali’s father is a physician and entrepreneur who owns and operates a manufacturing business in Michigan, USA. Anjali’s mother is also employed. Anjali didn’t have much time to spend with her parents because they worked long hours. Anjali Sud is the youngest of two siblings. She is the youngest of the three. Anjali was a shy child when she was younger.

Sud left Flint in 1997, at the age of 14, to attend Phillips Andover Academy, an elite school in Andover, Massachusetts. Sud earned a B.Sc. in Finance and Management from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in 2005 followed by an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2011. Sud worked in finance, media, and e-commerce at Sagent Advisors, Time Warner, and Amazon between 2005 and 2014.

Sud previously worked in investment banking at Goldman Sachs and management consulting at McKinsey & Company before joining Vimeo. She joined Vimeo, an IAC company, as Head of Global Marketing in 2014. She later worked as General Manager of Vimeo’s core creator business, where she expanded the company’s hosting, distributing and monetizing videos.

Sud oversaw a variety of platform launches during his tenure, including Vimeo Business (a membership plan for marketers and companies), 360 video support, and video collaboration and review features.

Anjali Sud was named CEO of Vimeo in July 2017, as the firm revealed plans to shift its approach away from investing in original content and toward delivering software and tools to video artists. She handled the acquisition of Livestream in September 2017 & handled the acquisition of video editing app Magisto in April 2019.
